“Kehte Hain Khuda Ne Iss Jahan Mein Sabhi Ke Liye, Kisi Na Kisi Ko Hai Banaya Har Kisi Ke Liye.” These lines truly make us believe true love and the fact that “jodiyan upar se ban ke aati hain”. Exactly same happened when we heard the love story of cutesy couple, Ritesh and Swasti. The two are madly in love with each other and have surely redefined what love is. In this feature, we will be having a look at their love story chronicle from the couple themselves. Here you go!
Tell us something about you and your partner? How did you guys meet? What sparked the idea of a walking down the aisle?
We met in 2015 in California; we went to the same institute to study Jewellery. Ritesh and I have always been really close friends since the beginning. He told me he was going to marry me the first month we met (I KNOWW!!!! I THOUGHT IT WAS CREEPY TOO), but the day he proposed to me he said, “I DECIDED TO MARRY YOU IN THE FIRST MONTH, BECAUSE I’VE NEVER BEEN THIS SURE ABOUT ANYTHING IN LIFE.” And that’s how I married my best friend.
How did you choose the Big Day’s destination?
We saw a lot of venues; Crowne Plaza had everything we needed!
What were the first things that you planned?
First things I planned was
-photographer
-event planner
-choreographer
Rest all came later
Tell us about each outfit you picked for all the functions?
I was never a person to go for mainstream designer lehengas. I always believed that I’ll wear something that will raise my heartbeat as soon as I try it on. Pre-wedding ceremony outfits were designed by me and the main functions were done by Shrangar Delhi
How did you pick Groom’s outfit? Did you guys co-ordinate?
Ritesh and I did coordinate, but I did my shopping first and then coordinated his with mine later!
What was the most memorable moment you had in your D-Day?
The most memorable thing was how everyone was as involved as I was. All the rituals were super emotional yet a lot of fun!
How did you plan everything? How was your experience planning the big day?
To be honest it was the most fun months of 2019. All the planning and everything plays a huge part, but when you have a good team like SHOW MAKERS things become so much more fun!!! Created so many memories!
Show Makers India was probably the best decision we made. We became a family by the end. Thank you show makers for making this journey so much more special.
Did anything go wrong? How did you handle it if so?
Of course things went wrong! There is no fun without a few hiccups! One of the things was: MY MOM FORGOT MY JEWELRY SET ON THE MAIN EVENT! Bahahaha it was so stressful, but as I said we had a great team and my family was always there so everything worked out!
Advise for future brides?
My advice would be as my mom said, “Enjoy this time the most, don’t stress about stupid stuff because this time will never come in your life again” and that was the best advice! I DANCED MY HEART OUT THROUGHOUT because who cares?
