Yes, the same cutesy couple, where the bride was stunned and happy at the same time. People went crazy for the couple and let us introduce them for you – Akanksha Dhawan and Harshit Sachdeva. We can surely say that this video has been one of the most beautiful, touching and superbly loving wedding videos of an Indian bride and groom. So, we thought why not get in touch with them and get to know the insights of their wedding. We did and here we go with the details from the Akanksha and Harshit themselves!

Tell us your love story. How did you guys meet? What sparked the idea of marriage?

“We still remember the day when we first met in cyber hub Gurgaon and he was dropping me back home. He gave me the instant yes reaction by playing aj se Teri song … but I was still silent that time because I dint know how to react. After that idea of marriage sparked and then slowly when we got to known each other and eventually the most important part was the overall nature of each of us which kind of aligned together and we finally agreed to move ahead together. We first met at cyber hub Gurgaon and got a chance to interact with each other from that day till now there is no looking back and we look forward to spend our entire life together.”

Describe how you planned your wedding. How did you finalize the venue? What were the preparations that you did to make your wedding memorable? Who were your vendors, e.g., venues, decorators, MUA, Invites, Choreographers, Catering, Photographers, etc.?

“However, things never go as planned. Initially the plan was to tie the knot in April 2020, with date finalized, venue booked, all other bookings done…..but this lockdown and COVID situation played a spoilt sport. But as they say, whatever happens it is for something good….the revised date we planned to get married now had a better venue with a beautiful backdrop of Aravali hills (felt like a destination wedding venue to us), there was better decor, better overall arrangements, and all other related things which actually led it to most beautiful marriage and a kind of dream wedding that we would have ever thought of… the venue from The Lalit New Delhi (cityscape setting)  eventually got shifted to The Lalit Mangar (which was more of a resort style destination wedding feeling). The event management company (Petals & Drapes) for all our arrangements & decor was hired inhouse from The Lalit Mangar and I must say was a fabulous experience for us. Makeup artist was Guneet Virdi. Special online invites were shared through Instagram and WhatsApp, no choreographer was required as we were born dancers rocked the dance floors ourselves and enjoying it best. The catering was housed by the The Lalit Manger and it was an amazing experience, the variety of food tasted awesome.  The pre-wedding shoot and wedding photography was done by Reflections photography.”

Tell us about you & your partner’s outfits in each event. What Jewelry did you wear?

:It was a customised outfit for both of us contrasting each other with the colour scheme. The groom wore a beige sherwani with a safa on top of head, to get the nawab of Pataudi kinda feeling. The groom outfit was sourced from Diwan Saheb and the bride outfit did superbly complimented it, with a red-copper coloured lehanga customised especially on demand from a well-known boutique. the  jewellery set for both the groom and bride did complimented each other – with an elite green pearl droplets royal necklace for bride and a royal pataudi green coloured neckset for groom.”

What was the most memorable part of your wedding?

“Everything right from the start till the end was absolutely mesmerizing and memorable, giving all of us a lifetime memory to be remembered forever…In case we need to choose one of our best moments that would be our wedding pheras in open sky, with a backdrop of Aravali Hills. We did enjoyed to the fullest and had so much fun at the wedding, that it never felt like a ceremony with a small gathering of just 50 guests. It rather felt a kind of grand Indian royal wedding.”

Advise for the future brides?

“Plan your outfit to compliment the groom such things count a part, just be simple, be yourself and respect each other’s family. These things count the most to us….”
