“You know you are in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is far better than your dreams.” – Dr. Seus
Very well said, no? And that’s what one of the most happening and cutesy real couple, Nishtha and Granth would have felt when they fell for each other. Their love tale is very interesting and filmy at the same time. Just like that typical Bollywood love story of two people meeting at a dance class, the girl being shy and the boy taking the steps forward and eventually she said, ‘YES’. So yeah, that’s kind of the love chronicle Nistha and Granth flaunt. And today, they are mister and missus to each other. Would you like to know more about them? Well, hang in there as we take you through their fairy tale wedding story as the bride herself reveals the inside details. Let’s dive in then!

Tell us something about you and your partner? How did you guys meet? What sparked the idea of a marriage?

“We met at Shiamak dance classes. Dance brought us close to each other. It started with friendship first. I used to be very shy but with him it was different from the beginning. We used to confide in each other. After a year of friendship, we became close to each other. Soon I confessed to him and that’s how it all began. And from the very beginning of our relationship it was clear that we are in this for something permanent and not a fling so the whole idea of marriage was there from the very start.”
How did you choose the wedding destination?

“We wanted a day wedding. We were looking for a venue with a mix of indoor area and a beautiful lawn setting. Also, it’s a tradition in Granth’s family to stay together with relatives and friends for a day or two and enjoy the occasion thoroughly. So we had to pin down a venue with at least 60 rooms. Crowne Plaza Gurgaon met all our points in our checklist.”
What were the first things that you planned?

“We selected 01-12-2019 as our wedding date because it was the same date when we confessed to each other our likeness 3 years back. Once the date was decided, we went for the next step, venue hunt. Any delay in it would have meant fewer choices in hand.”
Tell us about each outfit you picked for all the functions?
“The outfits were handpicked by us and our families together. Both of us and our parents roamed in almost all the showrooms of South Delhi to all the small lanes of Chandni Chowk. Finally we chose the following:
Wedding:

My outfit was from odhni. I always wanted a baby pink lehenga.
Granth’s outfit was from W&W, a designer from Kolkata, in peachish pink colour. We colour coordinated our outfits .
Haldi:

My outfit was from Her highness. It was pista green colour lehnga with gota pati work on it.

Granth’s outfit was from manyavar. Yellow knee length achkan with dhoti.
Cocktail

My outfit was from Divya Harjai. It was side slit grey coloured gown.”
Where did you shop for your lehenga? Any insight details about the work on the lehenga?

“My wedding lehnga was from odhni, pitampura. Both the mummas had already short listed a few as per my choices. When i saw one of the shortlisted ones, it clicked me. For me, it was just the one when I saw it and I had to buy it. The work was carefully seen and chosen by my moms.”
Did you guys co-ordinate? How did you pick Groom’s outfit?
“Yes we coordinated the design and colour. We searched many outlets and finalised the Groom’s outfit by a Kolkata designer W&W. The moment we saw it, we knew this was it.”
What was the most memorable moment you had in your wedding?

“There wasn’t just one thing. For us, every moment was meant to be memorable and indeed was. Getting ready, jai mala, pheras followed by our entrances, dance performances, the emotional poem by mom, the food, the hospitality of the hotel. Everything was just on point.”
How did you plan everything? How was your experience planning the wedding?
“It was an enjoyable and memorable experience. Both the families planned everything together.”
Did anything go wrong? How did you handle it if so?
“Everything was just perfect as it was supposed to be.”
Advise for future brides?
“Just enjoy each and every moment. It’s the start of a new phase of your life. You’ll remember it and cherish it forever.”
