Well, well, well, we love weddings and we love everything about weddings. Whether its wearing new clothes, getting all decked up, having dhol-dhamaka, khaana-peena and naach-gana. But with all of these things come tension and stress. Fair enough! No issues, it’s a part and parcel of getting married. But now the question is how to overcome your stress or how to distress yourself from all the wedding preparations or planning. Here’s what all you have to do:
1. Prioritise

The first and the foremost step to get rid of the wedding prep stress is to prioritise your essentials and make a to-do list in a chronological order. Prioritising will help you in kicking away those last minutes call outs. In addition to this, if you keep a check on this list, it will also help you in staying on track and on budget.
2. Meditate

To keep yourself away from negativity and to surround yourself with positivity, all you have to do is meditate. It is also to be mentioned here that meditation is different from what you usual do as your religion prayer. Many confuse meditation with that. Sit at a place with minimal distraction and do meditation for at least 10 minutes daily.
3. Pamper Yourself

To ease your all-day long shopping stress or preparation for the wedding, gift yourself a pamper session every weekend. Go for hair spa, body spa, or whatever you would like to, but give time to yourself.
4. Communicate

Vent out!! Vent out everything you have in your mind and in your heart. Whatever you want to talk just talk about it and feel relaxed. If the reports are to be believed, 53% of couples said their parents are the biggest stress-causing culprit, while 33% said it’s their in-laws. Fret not; just talk about your problems with your parents and communicate. Getting your family on the right page or as on the same page as you are is very important.
5. Don’t sacrifice your diet

It is very important that you don’t sacrifice on your diet. You have to be very careful in eating food items that are rich in tryptophan namely, soy, poultry, bananas, cheese, nuts, milk, oats, etc. Also, keep in mind to eat small meals all throughout the day which will help in controlling your blood sugar levels.
