Emma from Glee Season 4 had rightly said, “I would rather be here, far from you, but feeling really close, rather than close to you but feeling really far away” or for that matter, “If you want to live together, you first need to learn how to live apart”, long-distance relationships are real challenge but if managed well, there nothing like it. The couples who are in a long distance marriage or relationship must have certain things to keep in mind to make it successful. So here we have a few tips that you couples out there can abide by to keep your relationship going!
1. Time management or prioritise things

Time management or prioritising your workings is one of the foremost things that couples should keep in mind when having a long distance relationship. In some cases there is also the difference of time zone, which adds up to all the probable fuss. Keep a set time if it takes you to communicate with your partner, but it is a must!
2. Trusting is the key!

Trust in any relationship is the success mantra, but when long distance relationships or marriages are particularly talked about, its importance is even more. Trust is a two way track and if many of you are thinking it all about sexual infidelity then no, there are many ways that breakdowns in trust can erode a relationship, even if it is not a romantic involvement with anyone else.
3. Don’t expect much

One of the most significant factors that both of you need to know is the fact that don’t expect a lot. Expectations sometimes lead to wrong path. It is better to understand your partner and give him/her a breathing space.
4. Talk everything out

Talk everything out and when we say so, we mean it literally!!! Communication is the best thing you can do for both of yourselves. Tell each other about how your day went like, greet each other with good mornings and good nights, talk dirty (*wink*), etc. Plan your FaceTime or Skype sessions very religiously!
5. Stay positive.

Last but not the least you have to be positive at all times. It is very important to keep injecting positive energy in every long-distance relationship to keep the spark alive. There is no denying that you two might feel lonely at times or would even go through pain and agony, but its okay and you must not let negativity win over you.
