Sukriti and Arjun’s Turkish Wedding

Arjun and Sukriti’s relationship began when she had moved to Mumbai for work and was introduced to Arjun by a common friend. Soon enough they became close friends and eventually they started dating and since then there was no looking back.

They were sure that they wanted a destination wedding since they wanted an intimate affair, and went ahead with Antalya, Turkey, for its natural bounty. Antalya happened to have some splendid Mediterranean beaches with hypnotizing sunsets, lush forests, and sparkly blue seas. Thus this destination became their natural pick.

Their sangeet ceremony was an all-white affair. There is no other color that looks as elegant and serene as this one, thus the decor and theme revolved around a palette of white and gold. The setup was minimalistic and elegant and turned out to be just the way they had envisioned it.

Being the designers behind the label Sukriti & Aakriti, Sukriti’s sister and she designed the lehenga for this function. It was an off-white chikankari lehenga that featured pastel embroidery along with crystals, sequins, and zardozi work. Sukriti matched it to a lotus motif Polki necklace, earrings, and pastel bangles.

The theme for Mehendi function was ‘Fun in the Sun,’ and it was hosted on the sprawling lawns of the property. The colors used for the decor were light pink, fuchsia, and gold. There were potlis and drapes that hung from the ceiling of a large canopy under which most of the guests had gathered. Besides this, they had fabric hangings suspended from the branches of the trees.

The entire squad was dressed in Sukriti & Aakriti, the label turned out to be the dress code for this function. Sukriti wore a rich purple outfit that went perfectly with the mood of the festivities.

Haldi was a small intimate function that was held on the morning of the wedding. This was a very emotional ceremony and included only family members. They also had the chooda and kaleerein ceremony during this function.

The wedding took place upon a pier where they were surrounded by water. It was such a beautiful setting, and in order to let its loveliness stand out, they chose minimal garden-inspired decor in muted hues along with foliage that complemented the beautiful blue waterscapes. Sukriti wanted the wedding outfit to be in an unusual hue, so she chose a green lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee with floral details. Arjun also wore a Sabyasachi ensemble. Sukriti matched her lehenga with kemp and Polki jewelry from Sabyasachi’s collection.

Their reception took on a very regal mood with the decor in the colors of red and gold along with lots of roses and glowing candles. Sukriti wore a grey gown with green and blue bugle beads by Gaurav Gupta for the reception. Arjun opted for a black tuxedo from Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna.
