Chandrika and Arwinder: Lovely Couple

Chandrika and Arwinder were working as lawyers. They met on her first day at his new contract work. Arwinder seemed very nervous as soon as he saw Chandrika. They became great mates and after a while, he ended up changing his job. He then asked her out on a snow day trip as their first date and within a year they got engaged and married each other next year.

They are quite opposite to each other but then there is something that just fits perfectly. Arwinder can’t speak Hindi and Chandrika is a big Bollywood fan. They love traveling in their spare time and have a love for long road trips and coffees.

Chandrika got the most beautiful proposal a girl could ever have. At 3 AM one morning, Arwinder showed up at Chandrika’s house with her favorite flowers. They then drove to Yarra Valley and saw the most breathtaking sunrise in a hot air balloon ride. And it was there itself that he went down on his knees and asked her to marry him.

The couple planned the entire wedding themselves taking help from portals like Pinterest and Instagram. Since Chandrika love anything floral, the entire soiree was floral-centric.

Mehendi was hosted at the bride’s home in the courtyard and was decorated in marigold garlands and a Rajasthani Jhula to curate a timeless and traditional vibe. Chandrika slipped into a long 3D skirt by Papa Don’t Preach which she paired up with striking earrings and a Maang tikka.

Sangeet was a fun affair with an informal look highlighted with a white and pink pastel round arch, the sangeet was hosted at the Seaview Williamstown. Chandrika donned an Anita Dongre ensemble in the hues of green and blue and teamed it up with gorgeous oversized jewels from Free Rani.

Haldi was a vivacious and joyous affair. Chandrika initially wore a yellow lehenga tailored by her friend in Delhi after which she slipped into a mustard yellow Sabyasachi lehenga teaming it up yellow bangles and self-designed pastel green double Jhumkis.

The wedding took place at the Werribee Mansion. Chandrika walked down the aisle donning the statement Sabyasachi lehenga and under a Phoolon ki Chaadar made by Arwinder as a surprise gift for her. Her jewelry was from Le Khanna Jewellers, Nath from Purab Paschim, and floral Bun from Floral Art by Srishti. Classic bridal makeup was done by Shindy Gill HMUA.

Arwinder wanted to complement Chandrika and the entire traditional and royal theme of the wedding so claded himself from head to toe in Gujralsons.

Anand Karaj was hosted at Keysborough Gurudwara. Arwinder yet again chose Gujralsons for each and every piece of his look and looked all royal and crisp in an ivory sherwani with gold and blush pink motif embroideries. He wore a pearl mala, a matching blush pink stole and safa to complete his look.

Chandrika, on the other hand, donned a flamboyant peplum style & belted Rimple and Harpreet Narula lehenga in rose gold. She had ensemble complement splendidly by jewels from Ankita Jewellery, matha Patti from Ra Abta by Rahul and her aunt’s Pahadi Nath. Shindy Gill HMUA gave her the perfect glam rose gold makeup.

The reception was hosted at The Luxor with an absolute white floral and lush foliage one with a touch of modern glam. Chandrika donned a white and brown pearl intricate Manish Malhotra lehenga. A choker set from Malabar Gold and glam dewy look with a bold burnt orange lip by Hellana. KXhair Design gave her a wavy hairdo side tucked.

Arwinder wore a classic navy tuxedo from Saibu No Akuma that he accessorized with shoes and other accessories from TM Lewin with hair and beard styled by Sammy from Sammy’s Hair Grooming.

Tips for Future Brides: “Be kind to yourself. There is immense pressure for brides to be this perfect version of themselves. Don’t get too caught up in the details. Also, take care of your mental health as much as your physical health. Brides can get caught up and forget to take care of their mental health. I took Bikram yoga, pilates, and swimming to have some time to myself amongst the crazy wedding planning. Most importantly, be in love! Do all things with love and let love drive you to be the best version of yourself on your biggest day of your life!”
