Asma and Sarib were introduced to each other by their cousins. Asma didn’t really know that Sarib had a huge crush on her but what’s meant be to always find its way. And, so after three long years in 2017, Sarib confessed his love for Asma and since then he has been like her backbone!
This beautiful couple Asma and Sarib got married in their hometown Srinagar. They had a lakeside wedding as both of them love lakes and their beauty. The wedding took place at Nigeen Club which is at the bank of Nigeen Lake, a sister lake of the famous Dal Lake.
They had an outdoor day Mehendi function. Asma had her Mehendi function in a day under a beautiful canopy while the guests enjoyed the scenic lake view and boat rides as well as Kashmiri Kahwah and bakery.
Traditionally, in Kashmir, the groom’s family comes with Mehendi and goodies and so was done by Sarib’s family in the evening. This function also took place outdoor. The guests enjoyed the sunset views. Asma wore a white lehenga. This type of dress is usually worn by the Muslim Brides, with only a big Paasa and no mang tikka.
Asma’s make up artist and she herself decided to play with her look. She wore a white lehenga with golden work, a mix of Dabka, Zari and french knotwork in white with sequins. The Lehnga was done by Myraa in Shahpurjat.
For Reception, Asma wore a bottle green lehenga by Asiana Couture. On the day of mehndi, she wore a green sharara by the Ministry of Design-Shahpurjat and her evening dress was designed by Jayant and Rajesh Raj.
The Groom Sarib wore Megaan-Shahpurjat. The decor and planning were done by Athwaas Kashmir Events, and Chinar Band played Santoor in the backdrop they even played Game of Thrones on Santoor because they both love the show apart from other traditional santoor songs.
