Under the Veil

In the typical old days, brides masked their faces with dense veils to show integrity and coyness. The conventional wedding gown was that of red shades and white with dense embroidery and a large chuni to do just that.

Now, we are bolder and tended to show our appearances with placing the veil only on the crown; sitting on top of the refined embellishments. And why shouldn’t we? After all, we do take ages to get ready for this exceptional day before presenting ourselves down the aisle. After all, we do deserve some attention on our D-Day!!

But there still exists some bride with deep root for their tradition and culture and decide to go for a conventional route, and we have some tips uniquely curated for you. If you love the ghoonghat but do not want to get bogged down by the burden of it, here are some ideas:

Choose a ghoonghat that is light in fabric but has some beadwork to it. This way, your jewellery, such as the tika will also show its beauty vividly.

You can also opt for the heavy border route and keep the fabric light by doing so you will be able to enjoy the veil as well as not been burdened by it.

If you love the heavy embroidery work on your veil, you could cover only half of the face with the ghunghat and display the beautiful nose ring.

No matter what you do remember, you are prettiest when you are comfortable and happy in what you wear. And don’t forget to add one special touch to your look and that is your smile. Keep Smiling.
