Adam and Tanvi met at the University of Cincinnati where they got their Masters in Architecture together. Throughout the first semester at grad school, their friendship grew during long conversations about design, music, family, and culture. By the end of it, they were dating. Tanvi think’s everyone saw that coming from a mile away. All this time in studio from deep conversations and all-niter’s to vending machine trips and design critiques forged a deep connection between the two. In the few months before they started dating, they spent quite time together and they got to see the best and worst of each other. It really strengthened their relationship and confirmed their compatibility.
They had a traditional Indian wedding in Solapur followed by a white wedding in the US a month later to honor both the heritages and to be able to include both families in all the festivities. Tanvi finds herself very lucky to have married the man of her dreams not once, but twice!

Tanvi was not extremely involved in planning the wedding as she lives in US and didn’t meet with the planner herself. She conveyed her vision in terms of broad ideas and the overall aesthetics to her parents via mood boards who then handled every detail of the planning. She was mainly involved when it came to picking out her outfits and jewelry! This arrangement worked out great for her as she was planning the American wedding so didn’t have the stress of planning two weddings.

Tanvi says,”Find a photographer who makes you comfortable in front of the camera and who can give direction in terms of how to pose and what to do. Our photographer was great at making us laugh to capture candid shots. He was also great at telling us exactly where and how to stand for the more posed portraits.

If you have any specific poses in mind or any particular styles of images that you like, make sure to create either a Pinterest board or take screenshots and share these with your photographer ahead of time to let him or her know what you expect. Pinterest is a great tool for every wedding detail. I created a board with various sections like makeup, hair, mehendi, photography, etc. to communicate easily with vendors.”

Pictures are worth a thousand words! 🙂

She fell in love with the Nayantara lehenga the minute she tried it on in the store. The color and embroidery were stunning and looked nothing short of royal on her. The thread work had hints of green in it which paired perfectly with the contrasting green beryl jewelry. She loved every detail of the lehenga and knew that was the one for her instantly!

Two years ago when her brother got married, she wore Anita Dongre pieces to every single event so she just knew that she would go back for an outfit for her own wedding someday! The blue ‘Vasvi’ lehenga was absolute perfection. Adam and Tanvi both were truly amazed by the level of detail and intricacy in the embroidery. It was stunning! She loved her royal blue lehenga years before she started planning her wedding so it was an easy decision when it came to selecting it!
