Old school love

Srishti met the love of her life when she was in her school days. Rushabh and Srishti were family friends & used to meet occasionally & they would always pair & play together.

Cut to the year 2010, they had not seen each other since a while. They stayed in different parts of Mumbai. Srishti was invited by Rushabh for his housewarming party who knew back then that an invitation was going to be a invitation to his heart. He was right there, at the door to greet her family. In his version, it was love, at first sight, the minute they saw each other all grown up & beautiful.

Srishti & Rushabh both never shared numbers by luck they met again after 2 months & exchanged numbers their mutual interests were bike rides and the fact that their college were close by they hung out all the time & fell in love.

They were in 12th grade, he couldn’t wait till her boards to propose to her so he impatiently proposed on 2nd December 2010.

A decade later, here they are madly in love with each other & Happily married. They faced their fair shares of highs and lows. What kept them going was the crazy love for each other. If we had to describe them, they are like chalk and cheese. So, different yet so similar.

ABOUT THE WEDDING

Srishti & Rushabh always wanted “A Big Fat Indian Wedding” and when it came to planning their own wedding they were clear about the three things they wanted to do – A Grand but Intimate, Traditional but contemporary along with lots of drama & fun. They went through different hotels in Rajasthan before they settled with Chomu Place in Jaipur. One of the primary facts that they could hold different ceremonies in different venues in the palace and lots of photographs was the cheery on the cake.

Srishti is a fashion designer by profession and has been working in the industry for 7 years. So, while every aspect of the wedding required detailed attention, planning the outfits was something that came to her naturally.

Srishti wanted all her outfits to be Twinning but She also wanted the outfits to be different and contemporary while keeping the traditional values intact.

To all the brides take advice from Srishti –
All the brides struggle with their outfits so, for Mehendi, She wanted the outfit to be functional as she has seen so many brides struggle with their lehengas not to spoil the Mehendi on their legs.

For Haldi – It was a really simple, print-on-print bright sunshine contrast to all guests dressed in white as the theme with a bunch of locally sourced jewelry.

Bridal outfit – Again something simple but elegant is Srishti’s style the colour was chosen on the whim. All the outfits were brought within 2 days as she knew what she wanted. She wanted to look fuss-free & super simple yet royal.

Srishti’s outfit was from Vasansi – Jaipur & Rushabh’s outfit was from Jade Blue – Jaipur.
