Ananya and Prateek had always liked and admired each other silently but didn’t had the courage to talk to each other. Finally last year they gathered the audacity to talk to each other at a common friend’s wedding and the rest is history. It happened just like every love story, they exchanged numbers and started seeing each other and bonded over similar values which were built on being simple, caring and wanting to help others. Over time, they discovered that both of them had similar upbringings and values. Their compatibility, sense of purpose and similarity in being driven despite being different in their own ways. It made them fall in love with each other. They decided to arrange a meeting for both families and that meeting marked the beginning of the magical wedding that they have always dreamt of.
“The Himalayas in the background, cool and crisp mountain air, and the love of your life by your side, what more can you ask for in a dream wedding? Nothing, Right?” Their wedding was totally goals in so many ways.
The wedding was simple yet a super pleasing and a loved event. They wanted a close knit wedding celebration with families and friends. So they decided to have it in the tranquility of the mountains and the forests and there was no better option than Jim Corbett. So, they decided to go with Tarangi Resorts & Spa. Huge riverfronts, sounds of the gushing waters, cool breeze, fairy lights, pastel and all shades of happiness among all they loved and everything they dreamt of.
The Mehendi– The amphitheater was perfect for the enchanted garden theme of a Sundowner Mehendi Ceremony. The area was covered with fabric drapes of vibrant green and yellow colors. Hanging mehandi cones and umbrellas added to the charm. Decorated Bar Thela and the Bangle stall were the icing on the cake.
The Sangeet– Because of the sound restrictions being in the vicinity of a reserved forest area, the sangeet was an indoor event. The venue had its bling on–mirrors, the forest themed stage, bar decorated to look like a carousel in gold and lots of festive touches. There were spectacular dance performances put up by both sides of the family which was followed by an all night after party which lasted till dawn.
Haldi– After that craziest after-party ever, haldi next morning was a hungover affair. But nevertheless, the riverfront setup added with beautiful décor of kites and mogra made it look beautiful.
The Wedding– The hotel’s riverside lawns were the perfect canvas for the wedding ceremony. The décor in shades of pastel colours and lights made the functions look dreamy. And the mountains rivers and the jungle in the backdrop made it look like a fairy tale.

Wedding tips for future brides- “For us wedding was and has always been one of the most important and private events of our lives. We always wanted to keep it private amidst our close family and friends, and we were lucky to achieve what we had dreamt. So our tip and advice is to keep it as private as it could be, this makes it easy for you to spend on the quality instead of quantity. Do it for and share the day with people for whom it really matters because in the end its about creating memories which could last for a lifetime.”
